Flex tuning files for dealers, worldwide.

Platinum Tune supplies Flex tuning files to dealers worldwide. Read the car with your Magic Motorsport Flex: over OBD, on the bench, or with its BDM, bootloader or JTAG modules. Upload the read to our online dealer portal and download your file when it's ready, wherever you are in the world. The file desk is in the portal when a job needs a conversation.

Master or slave

Sending reads from a master or a slave Flex

The job is the same either way: read the car, upload the read, download your file. What changes is who can open the read.

From a master Flex

  • A Flex master reads and writes open BIN files and works on its own.
  • Save the read exactly as the tool made it, and don't open or change it before you upload.
  • If the tool saves more than one file for the car, keep them all and ask the file desk which to upload.
  • When your file is ready, write it back with the same tool you read the car with.

From a slave Flex

  • A Flex slave needs a master tool with the slave decryption module enabled.
  • A slave is linked to one master, and its reads are locked to that master.
  • Tell us which master your Flex is linked to before you upload anything.
  • If it's linked to another supplier, ask us on WhatsApp what moving it involves before you apply.
  • Write the file back with the same tool you read the car with.

Not sure which you have? Pick “Not sure” on the application form and we'll check it with you on WhatsApp.

How it works

From your Flex read to a file on the car.

The same four steps as every file, all online through the dealer portal, with the file desk in the portal when a job needs a conversation.

  1. Step 1: Apply

A short form. Tell us your tool and how many files you do a month.

  2. Step 2: Add credit

Create your dealer portal login, then top up when you need files.

  3. Step 3: Upload your read

Send the original read from your tool, with the car's details.

  4. Step 4: Download and write

Your calibrated file comes back in the portal. Write it to the car.

What to send with your Flex read

  • The original read, saved exactly as your Flex made it
  • Make, model, engine and gearbox
  • The ECU, as your tool shows it
  • Master or slave
  • The Flex module and mode you read it with, for example OBD, bench, BDM or bootloader
  • The work you want: performance, economy or gearbox
  • Anything already changed on the car, hardware or software

Car tuned before? Tell us before you upload, and send the original file if you or the last tuner kept it.

Reviews

What do dealers say about us?

Google

I've had the chance to work with Platinum Tune on more than 10 different cars, and honestly, the results have been consistently impressive.

From the very first car, I noticed the difference — the tunes are clean, smooth, and well-balanced, with great attention to detail. What really stood out to me is that the results weren't just good on one specific car; I experienced the same level of quality across more than 10 vehicles.

After trying them on multiple cars, I can confidently say that the quality and consistency are what impressed me the most. Great work, great results, and definitely a tuner I'd trust with my cars.

Lot of platforms can remap your file and send it back, but rarely you can find someone to follow your process aftersales.I tried these guys several times, they will make sure not you, but your client is highly satisfied. Highly recommended

Questions from dealers

What do dealers ask about Flex files?

Straight answers. If yours isn't here, ask support in the portal.

Something else? Ask support in the portal

Do you supply tuning files from Flex reads?

Yes. Flex is one of the tools we work with. Upload the read to the dealer portal and download your file when it's ready, from anywhere in the world. If a job is new to you, tell the file desk in the portal about the car first and we'll confirm it there.

Which ECUs can you do from Flex reads?

Engine (ECU) and gearbox (TCU) control units in cars and vans. Which ECUs your Flex can read depends on the ECU and on how your tool is set up, so we don't publish a list that might not match yours. Send the make, model and engine, and the ECU as your tool shows it, to support in the portal, and we'll confirm the job before you read the car.

Can I apply with a master or a slave Flex?

Pick master or slave on the application form, or “Not sure” if you don't know, and we'll confirm on WhatsApp how your Flex works with us. A slave's reads are locked to the master it's linked to, so tell us which master that is.

Which Flex modules do I need?

Flex is licensed per software module, and the base hardware includes none. The modules you need depend on the control units you work on. Tell us the cars you see, and ask the file desk before you read a type of ECU that's new to you.

My Flex is a slave linked to another supplier. What now?

Ask us on WhatsApp what moving it involves before you apply.

Which file do I upload from my Flex?

The read exactly as your Flex saved it, with the car's details. If the tool saved more than one file for the car, keep them all and ask the file desk which one to upload.

How do I write the file back with my Flex?

Download it from the dealer portal and write it with the same Flex you read the car with.

Can I order gearbox files from a Flex read?

Yes, for automatic and dual-clutch gearboxes, where your Flex can read the gearbox's control unit (TCU). Tell the file desk which gearbox the car has first. More about gearbox (TCU) files.

How long does a file take?

Files are usually back within 30 minutes during desk hours. File desk hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm; Saturday, 9am to 4pm; Sunday, closed (UK time).

What files can I order from a Flex read?

Performance (Stage 1 and Stage 2), economy and gearbox (TCU) files for cars and vans. Other calibration options: ask support in the portal.

Why don't you show prices?

Every car and ECU is different, so a price list would be wrong for most jobs. Ask on WhatsApp and we'll send your dealer rate.
