What it is
What is a Stage 2 remap?
Stage 2 is a calibration for a car whose hardware has been upgraded, such as an uprated intercooler or intake. The standard software, and a Stage 1 file, are set for the original parts. A Stage 2 file is set up for the parts on your car.
So the parts come first and the file follows. We check the parts are fitted and the car runs well before we touch the software, and we set the file up for everyday driving.

What happens on the day?
At Unit 11, Wembley Park Business Centre, or at your door with mobile remapping: we check the car and its parts first, keep your original file, and only then tune it. We tell you how long it will take when we quote.

We read your original file and keep a copy before we start.
Step 3: A file for your car
We prepare a calibration for your engine and gearbox.
Step 4: Write and test
We write the file to the car and test that it runs as it should.

We hand the car back and answer any questions you have.

Parts first, then the file
A Stage 2 file is matched to the parts on the car. If you change or add parts later, the file may need to change too, so tell us before you do.
Warranty
If your car is under a manufacturer or dealer warranty, read the terms before you book. A warranty provider can turn down claims on parts a remap affects, such as the engine or gearbox.

How much is a Stage 2 remap?
There's no fixed price: we quote for your car, because the price is set by your car and engine, the ECU it uses, the parts already fitted, the car's condition and any previous remap. Every car is different, so we don't publish prices. Send us your reg on WhatsApp and we'll quote for your car.
What counts as supporting hardware?
Parts that let the engine take a stronger calibration, such as an uprated intercooler or intake. Tell us what's fitted, with the make and part number if you have them, and we'll tell you whether a Stage 2 file suits your car.
Can I go straight to Stage 2 from standard?
Only once the parts are fitted. Until then, Stage 1 is the remap for your car.
My car already has a remap from someone else. Can you help?
Tell us when you send your reg. We look at what's on the car before we quote, so the new file is set up for the car as it is now.
Can you do a Stage 2 remap at my home or work?
Yes. With mobile remapping, we come to your home or work anywhere in London, with the same tools and the same checks as at Unit 11. Send your reg and postcode on WhatsApp and we'll confirm a time. Or bring the car to us at Unit 11, Wembley Park Business Centre, Wembley.
Will my car still pass its MOT?
A remap doesn't change the MOT test itself: the car still has to pass the same checks as any other car, including the emissions test. We do performance, economy and gearbox tuning only, set up for everyday driving. The parts fitted to the car need to pass the MOT too. What the MOT checks.
Do I need to tell my insurer?
Yes. Please tell your insurer about any remap. Insurers treat a remap as a modification, so let yours know before the work is done, not after.
Will it affect my warranty?
It can: if your car is under a manufacturer or dealer warranty, the provider can turn down claims on parts the work affects, such as the engine or gearbox. Read your warranty terms before you book, and ask the provider if you're not sure.
Can it go back to standard later?
Yes, always. Every vehicle we remap can go back to standard. We keep a copy of your original file before we start, and even without it we can put the factory software back from our own large file database and dealer-level tools. More on putting a car back to stock.
