Open or locked reads
Sending reads from your bFlash
The job is the same either way: read the car, upload the read, download your file. What changes is who can open the read.
If your tool saves open reads
- Save the read exactly as the tool made it, and don't open or change it before you upload.
- If the tool saves more than one file for the car, keep them all and ask the file desk which to upload.
- When your file is ready, write it back with the same tool you read the car with.
If its reads are locked
- Some tools are sold linked to a master tool or a file service, and their reads are locked to it.
- Tell us what your tool is linked to before you upload anything.
- If it's linked to another supplier, ask us on WhatsApp what moving it involves before you apply.
- Write the file back with the same tool you read the car with.

How it works
From your bFlash read to a file on the car.
The same four steps as every file, all online through the dealer portal, with the file desk in the portal when a job needs a conversation.
Step 1: Apply
A short form. Tell us your tool and how many files you do a month.
Step 2: Add credit
Create your dealer portal login, then top up when you need files.
Step 3: Upload your read
Send the original read from your tool, with the car's details.
Step 4: Download and write
Your calibrated file comes back in the portal. Write it to the car.
What to send with your bFlash read
- The original read, saved exactly as your bFlash made it
- Make, model, engine and gearbox
- The ECU, as your tool shows it
- Whether your tool's reads are locked to another tool or supplier
- How you read it with your bFlash, and anything the tool saved with the read
- The work you want: performance, economy or gearbox
- Anything already changed on the car, hardware or software

Do you supply tuning files from bFlash reads?
Yes. bFlash is one of the tools we work with. Upload the read to the dealer portal and download your file when it's ready, from anywhere in the world. If a job is new to you, tell the file desk in the portal about the car first and we'll confirm it there.
Which ECUs can you do from bFlash reads?
Engine (ECU) and gearbox (TCU) control units in cars and vans. Which ECUs your bFlash can read depends on the ECU and on how your tool is set up, so we don't publish a list that might not match yours. Send the make, model and engine, and the ECU as your tool shows it, to support in the portal, and we'll confirm the job before you read the car.
Can I apply if my bFlash is linked to another tool or supplier?
Yes. Tell us on the application form, or pick “Not sure” if you don't know, and we'll confirm on WhatsApp how your bFlash works with us. If its reads are locked to another tool or supplier, tell us which before you upload anything.
Can I send bFlash reads from outside the UK?
Yes. The file service is online: you upload the read to the dealer portal and download the file from anywhere in the world. Dealers outside the UK are quoted separately, so ask us on WhatsApp for your dealer rate.
Which file do I upload from my bFlash?
The read exactly as your bFlash saved it, with the car's details. If the tool saved more than one file for the car, keep them all and ask the file desk which one to upload.
How do I write the file back with my bFlash?
Download it from the dealer portal and write it with the same bFlash you read the car with.
Can I order gearbox files from a bFlash read?
Yes, for automatic and dual-clutch gearboxes, where your bFlash can read the gearbox's control unit (TCU). Tell the file desk which gearbox the car has first. More about gearbox (TCU) files.
How long does a file take?
Files are usually back within 30 minutes during desk hours. File desk hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm; Saturday, 9am to 4pm; Sunday, closed (UK time).
What files can I order from a bFlash read?
Performance (Stage 1 and Stage 2), economy and gearbox (TCU) files for cars and vans. Other calibration options: ask support in the portal.
Why don't you show prices?
Every car and ECU is different, so a price list would be wrong for most jobs. Ask on WhatsApp and we'll send your dealer rate.
